Dr. Keith Ray, BSc., D.C.

Chiropractor
After graduating from Washington State University with degrees in Biology and pre-Physical Therapy, Dr. Ray began his career in healthcare working as a fitness trainer and massage therapist.  He continued his education at Western States Chiropractic College earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1996.

Dr. Ray moved to Whistler in 1997 finding it the ideal place to pursue his passion for mountain biking and skiing.  A member of Team Whistler, he continues to compete at the Masters level in cross country skiing and mountain biking.

Serving as Whistler’s official sports chiropractor for Pacific Sports own the podium program during the 2010 Winter Olympics and treating Olympians from Canada and around the world was a highlight for Dr. Ray.

Dr. Ray continues to expand his knowledge with continuing education in techniques such as Active Release Technique (A.R.T) and Foundation Training.

Dr. Ray’s interest in human performance as a competitive athlete, along with his background in training, massage and chiropractic are reflected in his treatment of elite level athletes to weekend warriors alike.

Dr. Jacqueline Brusset

Chiropractor
Dr. Jacqueline Brusset graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1996 and has been practicing in Whistler since the fall of 1996. Dr. Brusset competed as a national (elite) level gymnast until the age of 16 when her career was cut short following a serious low back injury. Her interest in the field of chiropractic was sparked when the chiropractic treatment she received following her injury helped speed up her recovery and eventually allowed her to continue an active lifestyle in mountain biking, trail running, skiing, surfing and many other outdoor pursuits.

Dr. Brusset is certified in Active Release Technique ® (ART), Activator Technique and has a background in Massage Therapy. During her undergraduate degree studies at the University of British Columbia, she worked as an athletic therapist for the Varsity Rugby team. Dr. Brusset also has a special interest in working with children and pregnant women.

 

 

 

Dr. Patrick Shuen

Chiropractor
Dr. Patrick Shuen came to the Whistler in 2004 to help out some friends for the season. Since then, he has embraced the many opportunities to pursue an active outdoor lifestyle that the corridor has to offer while establishing chiropractic practices in Whistler and Pemberton.

Dr. Shuen completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Western States Chiropractic College in beautiful Portland, Oregon. He completed full-body certification in Active Release Technique (ART) for for the Spine, Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity as well as Long Tract Nerve Entrapment Syndromes. Additionally, he has Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Shuen has previously worked as an athletic therapist and chiropractor for many amateur and professional sporting teams and athletes.

In addition to his practice and outdoor pursuits, Dr. Shuen can also be found working as a paid-on-call firefighter with the Whistler Fire Rescue Service.
